There are many ways to see the unspoiled beauty of the area. Walking and mountain biking are ideal and there are lots of trails in the area. The Torridon mountains are close by and there are many beautiful coastal walks. For the more adventurous, there are also high-level walks into the Torridon Hills or around An Teallach and there are also opportunities for challenging climbing. See our Links page for where to find more information.

Boat trips are available from Badachro that will not only be informative and interesting but you will haul up prawn pots with a good chance of catching your dinner. Visit the Shellfish Safaris website for more.

For the more adventurous you can go out whale watching from Gairloch pier on Orca 1. This 11 metre RHIB cruises along at 26 Knots and will take you quickly and safely offshore  to where the whale and dolphin sighting are most common.

The Local area offers a wide range of  pursuits from golfing at Gairloch Golf Course to long walks on the unspoiled beaches around the coast.

There is plenty fishing in the local lochs as well as sea angling.
